以前都看過What
Eating Gilbert Grape, 以前就覺得Leonardo DiCaprio
演得好, 同埋我覺得主角Gilbert Grape
面對如此家庭, 真是會窒息, 同想逃離.
昨晚再看一次DVD,
感受是不同了. 我看了人物介紹, 製作特輯,
再看電影.
Just like Thelma
and Lousie DVD , they found the director, writer and the cast to recall their
memories , and the feeling about the movie, you can see Johnny Depp with Captain
Jack Sparrow makeup talking “What Eating Gilbert Grape”
They are serious to make the
DVD, it is worth buying DVD even though it cost nearly 200
In Production notes, Johmmy
Depp admits that he is in misery , depressed in filming this movie,
that’why he can understand the character Gilbert Grape well , also
so childhood experience, it is true he handle the character so natural and
convincing .
What Eating Gilbert Grape is a very good
movie. 無論你的家庭成員是怎樣, 還是一家人,
應該要同心協力, 互相照顧及不可以看不起自己的家人.
片中Gilbert心態上是有點..當肥胖的母親是一個笑話,
竟然抱起小孩, 讓他們看她, 又在別人面前說母親是Whales,
後來母親也跟Gilbert說,
Gilbert當然否認.
Gilbert is a nice guy , considering the
others , take care of all family members with no complaint, but sometimes, he
still cant put up with this . He hit his brother hardly but he regret . Actually
, the most impressed scene “ he hit Dicarprio , and the talk with his
mother”
His mother said” your brother is helpless….
Why did you do that…you walked out, diappeared , I hate that”
Because , her husband just walked out , and
disappeared , she cannot take another BLOW (her son disappeared ), I can feel
her desperate
When she hugged Gilbert , she cried: “
Gilbert, please don’t disappear , please don’t disappear”, this really touched
me. She was afraid of loosing his son
Her last words to Gilbert : “ you’re my
knight with shimmering armor “
Gilbert: “ you mean
shining?”
His mother : ”shimmering, you shimmer, you
glow.”
Not many lines but
touching.
Not let his mother become another joke , burn
the house in which his mother’dead body was there.
Finally , Gilbert got “ Freedom “ not
attached to the house , go everywhere he likes
